Claude is the global head of liability-driven investment (LDI) and senior managing director of the quantitative management team for Manulife Investment Management. Claude and his team are responsible for mandates that require a quantitative approach, such as LDI mandates and de-risking strategies, and for developing unique, cutting-edge quantitative products, tools, and solutions. He joined the company when Standard Life's Canadian operations were acquired by Manulife in January 2015. Five years after joining Standard Life as an actuarial assistant, he transferred to Standard Life Investments (SLI) and assumed the role of fixed-income analyst. During his time at SLI, Claude took on various roles of progressive responsibility and was appointed senior vice president of quantitative management. Prior to joining Standard Life, he held actuarial positions at two consulting firms, Groupe Sobeco and Hébert, LeHouillier et Associés. Claude holds the Certified Financial Analyst designation, and is an associate of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
