Career Start Date


Bill serves as head of U.S. small-cap equities and a senior portfolio manager of John Hancock Small Cap Core Fund. He focuses exclusively on U.S. small-cap investing, and his responsibilities include fundamental and industry-level research in the consumer discretionary and utilities sectors. Prior to joining John Hancock, Bill spent 15 years investing in U.S. small-cap equities at UBS Global Asset Management. Prior to that, Bill invested in private debt and equity for the Travelers Companies. Bill began his career in 1986 and received a B.S. from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
