Derek Chen

Derek is responsible for portfolio analytics, performance measurement and reporting, and data governance and projects across the firm’s private equity fund commitments, junior credit deals, and equity co-investments. In addition, Derek oversees the deal-closing process alongside portfolio managers and investment team members, as well as supports the asset allocation among Manulife Investment Management’s affiliate entities, third-party funds, and separately managed accounts. Before joining the firm, he held various financial and operational roles within private equity and hedge fund at BNY Mellon and Alter Domus.
