Asia Bond Absolute Return

The strategy seeks to provide positive returns on a rolling 12-month basis regardless of market conditions. The absolute return framework enables the team to achieve its twin objectives of pursuing alpha opportunities through long and short trades while mitigating drawdown risk and portfolio volatility.

Philosophy

The team believes the inefficiencies embedded within Asia’s many heterogeneous fixed-income markets present compelling alpha opportunities well suited to an absolute return structure. Leveraging the firm’s extensive footprint on the continent, the team has access to invaluable proprietary bottom-up research and top-down macroeconomic views. A strong focus on portfolio liquidity and risk control enables the team to manage drawdown risk and reduce portfolio volatility over the long term.
