Stephen Nicoletti Appointed New Chair of the BOMA Canada Board of Directors
The Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada (BOMA Canada) welcomes Stephen Nicoletti as its new national Chair. He has served on the BOMA Canada Board for several years, most recently as its Vice Chair. Active in the BOMA community for decades, he earlier served as Chair of BOMA Ottawa.
As commercial real estate continues to address the challenges and opportunities of COVID-19, Stephen believes that BOMA Canada is perfectly positioned to assist the industry in this unprecedented moment. “BOMA Canada is coming off an incredible year, having delivered COVID-19 resources to thousands of BOMA members across Canada and around the world. From our sold-out webinars to our Pathway Back to Work Guide to world-class content at BOMEX Virtual 2020, we are the world’s leading commercial real estate association with respect to COVID-19,” said Stephen. “The fact that, at the very same time, we grew BOMA BEST Sustainable Buildings, including in the United States, Mexico, China and Europe speaks volumes about our success.”
Nicoletti takes the lead of BOMA Canada at a critical moment for the organization. Beyond helping the industry address the urgent challenges of COVID-19 and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, BOMA Canada is launching three new programs: BOMA BEST Smart Buildings (a certification for buildings), BOMA BEST Clean Buildings (a certification for cleaning companies and for buildings) and BOMA BEST Sustainability Professional (a professional designation).
Based in Ottawa, Stephen is Managing Director for Manulife Investment Management’s Eastern Canada real estate portfolio. He is responsible for overall asset management, leasing and operations of the Ottawa and Montreal portfolios.
Manulife Investment Management is proud to share the announcement as we look forward to the future of Canadian real estate and to the leadership that Stephen will bring as Chair of BOMA Canada Board of Directors. Congratulations Stephen!
