Paul is a distinguished member of Manulife’s executive leadership team, where he holds direct oversight of the firm’s global wealth and asset management segment. In this capacity, he managed Manulife Investments, Manulife Securities, Manulife Private Wealth, and Manulife Insurance, ensuring the delivery of top-tier financial advice and investment and insurance solutions to Canadians. Throughout his tenure with the firm, Paul has undertaken various roles with increasing levels of responsibility within the company’s Canadian operations. In 2022, Paul was appointed as a nonindependent trustee on the board of the John Hancock group of funds, which supervises the U.S. retail fund business of Manulife Investment Management. Paul is also a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Anne is the global head of private markets, based in New York City. Aimee R. DeCamillo

Aimee is accountable for the strategy, growth, and overall financials of the firm’s retirement business around the globe. She also spent several years in leadership roles at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, including head of personal retirement solutions. Rishi Kapur, CFA

Rishi leads all financial accounting, management reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis, and internal controls for Manulife’s wealth and asset management business globally. He’s also accountable for financial due diligence and transaction structuring on new acquisitions and transactions for the global business and for managing relationships with business and functional leads, as well as external auditors and regulators. As CFO, Rishi is a member of the firm’s leadership teams for global finance and wealth and asset management. In these roles, he helps lead the firm’s strategy team while aligning with strategy resources across the business to build a cohesive vision for the organization. Previously, he was a leader of the firm’s group finance unit, where he served as global head of funding, head of finance for the general account, and Manulife bank treasurer. Rishi started at Manulife in 2013 as global head of financial risk. He moved to Japan in 2018 to serve as the CFO of Manulife Japan, and then returned to Toronto in 2021. He brings a breadth of experience internationally across North America, Europe, and Asia and across the industry, having also worked at CIBC, Oak Hill Platinum Partners, Swiss Re, and Lloyds Banking Group. Rishi holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Joëlle T. Metzman

Global Chief Risk Officer, Manulife Wealth & Asset Management

Joëlle is Manulife Wealth & Asset Management’s chief risk officer, responsible for overseeing key risk exposures across the firm’s global businesses. She also has operational risk oversight of Manulife’s general account, ensuring that risk management practices enable effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of risk assumed by these businesses. Prior to joining the firm, Joëlle was the chief risk officer at PGIM, the investment management division of Prudential Financial. At PGIM, she implemented and maintained a risk management framework across all asset management businesses, including public fixed income, equity, real estate, mortgages, private debt, international investments, and the mutual funds’ manufacturing and distribution platform. Previously, Joëlle was the global head of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and operational risk at Lazard Frères, where she developed and implemented a global SOX program on the firm’s initial public offering, as well as an operational risk program across all business lines, including investment banking and asset management. In addition, she spent over 10 years in internal audit with Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, responsible for managing regional and global audits. Joëlle began her career with KPMG and worked in audit and consulting with the Paris, Philadelphia, and New York practices.

Gerry Peterson

Gerry is responsible for managing operations in support of the firm’s global wealth and asset management business, including on-balance-sheet assets, public markets, affiliated wealth management clients, and the global retirement business. He leads the design, implementation, and management of the data governance and information management program. Prior to joining the firm, Gerry held several global leadership roles across several geographies throughout his 20-year career with Goldman Sachs (GS), including significant experience in Asia. Most recently, he was the firm’s global head of operations banking, investing and lending, where he was responsible for setting up a new operations business and managing the group, with teams located in New York, Dallas, London, Bengaluru, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. During his time at GS, he also managed multiple initiatives, including driving automation and digitization across several parts of the business. Soraya is President and CEO of Manulife | CQS Investment Management. She is a senior partner, Chair of the Board of CQS Management Limited and a member of the Board of Manulife Investment Management (Europe) Limited. She’s also a member of the Asset Advisory Committee for Multi Asset Credit. Since joining CQS over 13 years ago, Soraya has been instrumental in the transformation of the firm from a hedge fund manager into a multi-sector alternative credit platform. She has led the growth of the firm’s core credit strategies to reach a broader client base of institutional investors and private wealth channels globally. Soraya is directly involved in shaping the investment platform to provide the best offering to clients. With her extensive experience, she oversees key relationships with the firm’s clients around the world and under her leadership, the firm has won prestigious investment mandates, including with major global public and private pension schemes. As CEO, Soraya has focused on cultivating the next generation of talent, especially in her role leading the front office investment teams.
