200 Bloor Street E, Toronto, ON, Canada M4W 1E6

Office

This 6-story building, designed by Sproatt and Rolph, officially opened on August 26, 1925, in front of an audience of over 500. Constructed of dressed Indiana limestone on a pink Milford granite base with Doric columns, it was described as being in the “Modern Georgian Renaissance style.” The boardroom and executive offices were located on the second floor, while the sixth floor housed an auditorium and cafeteria. In June 1950, construction began on a south tower addition, designed by Marani and Morris, an 11-story tower immediately behind the original 6 stories. It opened in the fall of 1953. This building is 100% occupied by Manulife employees.
