Nicholas is responsible for the portfolio management of liability-driven investments (LDI) and retirement income mandates in the United States and Asia. He works closely with the team’s quantitative research, solution design, and financial engineering personnel in developing and implementing LDI and retirement income mandates. In addition, Nicholas is also part of the portfolio management team responsible for the development and management of a suite of active fixed income exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Nicholas joined the firm when Standard Life's Canadian operations were acquired by Manulife in January 2015. He joined the quantitative management team in 2008 as a specialist for passive fixed-income portfolios and became a portfolio manager in 2012. Prior to that, Nicholas was an analyst at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, where he provided analytical support for fixed-income portfolio managers. Nicholas holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
