Robert Chepelsky, CFA, is a managing director and fixed income client portfolio management specialist at Manulife Investment Management. Robert works with the Toronto-based fixed income team and the Montreal-based quantitative management (LDI) team on all aspects of product management, supporting client facing teams in the effective communication and positioning of investment strategies with clients, prospects and consultants.
Prior to joining Manulife Investment Management, Robert most recently worked at Morneau Shepell, where he spent 10 years as an investment consultant for pension plans and foundations. Prior to Morneau Shepell, he spent four years at an investment counselling firm as a fixed income portfolio manager, managing all the firm’s fixed income assets, currency positions, and derivative positions, including three mutual funds on behalf of high net worth clients. Robert also has previous experience at Manulife Financial as an asset and liability analyst.
From 2012-2018, Robert served as a member of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) Investment Advisory Committee where he provided guidance on issues impacting the pension industry. Robert is also a CFA charterholder.
