Sam Haidar, Ph.D.

Director of Quantitative Research and Analysis, Digital and DTC, Multi-Asset Solutions, Manulife Investment Management

Sam oversees direct-to-consumer investment models and algorithms; he also supports the development of various quantitative models within the multi-asset solutions team. Before joining the firm, he was a senior equity quantitative researcher at MFS, where he was responsible for multifactor models. While there, Sam contributed to the development of an MFS family of investment products that combines fundamental and quantitative research. Previously, he was a senior financial engineer at Smartleaf. Sam is currently an adjunct Professor at Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and he was an instructor at Harvard University before joining the finance industry in 2005.
