Investment process

The team employs a fundamental-driven research process to identify quality emerging market growth companies with strong business fundamentals at attractive valuations.

This shows the investment process for the Manulife emerging market equity team. The key stages of the investment processes are: 1) idea generation, which uses fundamental measurement and qualitative judgement to have an active inventory of 200 companies; 2) detailed research for validation and valuation to understand quality and sustainable value creation using propriety valuation models; and 3) implementation, which combines portfolio construction and risk management to build a high conviction portfolio of 60‒80 companies.
